Finding your perfect fit

Measure around your dominant hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb, with your hand relaxed and your fingers together. The measurement in inches is your SEYMOURE glove size. See our size chart.

A soft measuring tape is ideal. You can also use a ribbon, string, or the SEYMOURE measuring tool. Wrap it around your hand and mark where it meets. If using a string or ribbon, measure that length against a ruler. It should sit comfortably around your hand, not pulled tight.

Measure your dominant hand. It is usually slightly larger, and SEYMOURE sizing is based on it.

Match your hand measurement to the size chart above.

Women's sizes range from 6.5" to 8".

Men's sizes range from 8" to 9.5".

If you measure between sizes, choose the larger size.

SEYMOURE gloves are designed in the USA and handcrafted in Europe, following the traditional French glove sizing system. Your size is based on the circumference of your hand, measured in inches just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

XS/S means Extra Small/Small. M/L means Medium/Large. These sizes are used on selected women's styles where the design allows greater flexibility in fit, such as our knit and opera gloves.

XS/S fits 6" to 6.75"

M/L fits 7.25" to 8"

If your hand measures 7", we recommend XS/S for a closer fit in our knit and opera styles. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, choose M/L.

Yes. Men's and women's gloves follow separate size charts. Use the chart for the collection you are shopping. However, men measure their hands the same way women do. See How to Measure.

Every pair is designed to fit like a second skin. A new glove should feel close through the palm and fingers without bunching. As the leather softens, it will naturally mold to your hand over time. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, choose the larger size.

Yes. Your fingertips should nearly reach the end of each finger without excess leather beyond the tip. A properly fitted glove should feel close while allowing natural movement. Our ethically sourced Italian nappa leather naturally molds to your hand with wear. A glove that fits closely when new will soften slightly over time. A glove that feels loose when new will only become looser.

If there is excess leather at the fingertips, looseness through the palm, or a large opening across the back of the hand, your gloves are likely too large.

A new glove should feel close, but never restrictive. Make sure the snap closes comfortably and the opening across the back of your hand maintains its natural shape. If movement feels limited or the leather is under excessive tension, we recommend choosing the next size up.

Every SEYMOURE glove is measured the same way, but not every collection uses the same size range. Our driving collection ranges from S to XL, selected women's styles use XS/S and M/L sizing, and our certified Italian nylon styles are offered in one size. Lined styles, such as the Cashmere Lined Kelly, feel thicker through the fingers and palm than unlined leather. All driving gloves, including fingerless styles, follow the same hand measurement and size chart. They are designed to feel soft, luxurious, and like a natural extension of your hand.

Lined styles follow the same size guide. Because they are double layered, they feel thicker through the fingers and palm. Any style-specific fit recommendations are noted on the product page.

Opera gloves use XS/S and M/L sizing, where each size covers a range of hand measurements rather than a single size. See What do XS/S and M/L mean? for the measurements. Length is determined by the style, not the size.

Certified Italian nylon styles are designed as one size fits most, comfortably fitting hands from 6.5" to 8". The fabric has natural stretch and is cut to move comfortably with a wide range of hands. If you have a particularly petite hand, you may prefer a custom-made pair, as the standard fit may feel more relaxed.

For weddings and events, we recommend working directly with us on sizing. We use a variety of exceptional European fabrics, each with its own unique feel and fit. Please contact us or visit our Exclusive Services page.

We recommend ordering at least 10 days before your event to allow time for any exchanges if needed. Standard shipping is complimentary. If you need your order sooner, we're happy to arrange priority or overnight delivery.

We can, of course, exchange your gloves. Please refer to our Exchange Policy for details. As a sustainable brand, we're always happy to help you find the right fit before you order whenever possible. We work hard to keep our environmental footprint low.
